The Manassas Runway Run will return on April 30, 2023.
The airport — the state’s largest municipal airfield — shutters a runway during the event and allows participants to run on the airstrip.

The owner and operator of multiple Downtown Manassas restaurants will expand his empire and open two new locations in the old Okra’s Louisiana Bistro at 9910 Center Street.
Miguel Pires, owner of Zandra’s Taqueria in Manassas and Haymarket, operator of Great Etas Hospitality, Inc., will open Zengo, an Asian food restaurant that will take up the portion of the building that used to feature Okra’s bar and a neighboring building that used to house a coin shop.
OmniRide, the regional commuter bus provider, hinted at expanding service in Stafford County and offering service in Spotsylvania County for the first time.
The Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star reports the transit service plans to expand its operations in Stafford County from the Staffordboro Commuter Lot off Route 610 in North Stafford to commuter lots on Courthouse Road and off Route 17 and in the county’s central and southern sections, respectively.
On September 22, 2022 that Sustainability Commission unanimously passed resolution #22-007 which recommended several “fast-track” measures to put the county on a trajectory to achieve those goals.
Among their recommendations were: “Prohibit the building of new backup power generation using diesel and/or petroleum in favor of less carbon-intensive generation and encourage the conversion of existing diesel and/or petroleum backup systems to less carbon-intensive generation.”
