Obituaries

Stephen Moore of Woodbridge passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long a gallant fight against cancer he was 57. Stephen graduated from Virginia Tech and was proud to show his support as an Alumni. He was a loving son and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Loving son of Katherine Moore. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 Pm on Friday August 20th. Burial will take place in North Carolina on Sunday After a funeral service at the Quinn McGowan Funeral home  612 S Norwood St, Wallace, NC 28466. 


Event

Join the New Dominion Choraliers put on a concert to honor the 250th Anniversary of the USA! The music in this choral concert captures the heart and soul of the American spirit through patriotic tunes and songs from the heartland. Joining the chorus are dancers from Dance Etc. School of the Arts and accompaniment from the talented members of Legacy Brass.

This family friendly and FREE event is perfect for young and old. Kids, parents, and grandparents will be familiar with many of the songs in this inspirational program. There are two opportunities to attend: Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 pm or Sunday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m.


Obituaries

Tracy Bishop passed away unexpectedly on August 11th 2021 at the age of 55.  Tracy was a beautiful, loving, caring and kind wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was beyond generous and loved giving gifts.  In life she donated a kidney; and, as an organ donor, saved at least three lives within 24 hours of her passing.

She was born in Laconia, NH.  She resided in Greendale, WI, Burke, VA,  Concorde, CA  and Springfield, VA where she graduated from West Springfield High School .  She went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from the University of Arkansas and completed her Master’s Degree in Science at Old Dominion University.  She was a career federal employee with over 20 years at GSA.  She had a passion for her family and friends, animals and good wine.  In 2004 Tracy met her husband Jesse Bishop.  They each brought to their union a child from a previous marriage and set about creating a fun, wine-sipping, baseball and hockey watching, marriage full of love and laughter.
