DC South Asian Arts Council Inc in Collaboration with Embassy of India Presents Sarod Quintet- Three Generations, One legacy: Keeping India’s ethos of traditions and legacies alive, Three Generation Quintet represents the 6th, 7th and 8th generation of an unbroken chain of musicians coming together on stage and performing together. The concert will feature Sarod Grand Master Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash on Sarods. They are joined by Ayaan’s 13 year old Twins Zohaan and Abeer.
A series of vaccination clinics will be held across the region as students prepare to return to the classroom.

James Lunceford, 81, of Dumfries died July 29, 2021 at Inova Mt Vernon Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born October 28, 1939 to the late Walter F. and Bessie Shiflett. James enjoyed building and restoring cars, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Lunceford is preceded in death by his son, Dale and his brother, Charles. He is survived and leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lena W. Lunceford; children, Ricky and Brenda; grandchildren, Jamie Sue, Robbie, Taylor, Jake, Kaylee, Ricky, and Jimmy; great grandchildren, Jaylisa, Park, and Mike. He is also survived by his siblings, Ruby, Joyce, Ralph, Stella, and Wanda.
