OmniRide, the regional commuter bus provider, hinted at expanding service in Stafford County and offering service in Spotsylvania County for the first time.

The Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star reports the transit service plans to expand its operations in Stafford County from the Staffordboro Commuter Lot off Route 610 in North Stafford to commuter lots on Courthouse Road and off Route 17 and in the county’s central and southern sections, respectively.


The online class features videos with information about the function of each Stafford County Government Department. The course culminates with an in-person “graduation” at the Government Center.

The online class replaces the multi-week in-person “Citizens Academy” previously used to educate citizens about local government functions. The goal is to make the opportunity more accessible for more residents.


Flagship Carwash will open a new location at 11780 Sudley Manor Drive near Manassas. Employees will host a grand opening event on Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with food trucks from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Manassas City Public Schools will activate a series of new metal detectors at Osbourn High School, the city’s only high school, Monday, March 6.

Manassas will become the first school division in our region to install and activate metal detectors in schools. The school division installed Evolv Express Lane scanners, commonly used at sporting events and concerts.
