The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter’s Delta DEARS coordinated a book drive to collect new books for two Title 1 Prince William County elementary schools.
The DEARS, as they are known, are members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., who are aged 62 years or older. D.E.A.R.S is an acronym for Dedicated Energetic Active Respected Sorors.
The Fredericksburg Nationals announced Eric Bach as the new play-by-play voice of the FredNats.
Bach replaces Joey Zanaboni, who left for a position in Major League Soccer last month. Bach will call all 132 games on the FredNats Baseball Network and all home games on MiLB TV and the free Bally Sports App. He will also head up the team’s media relations efforts.

Manassas will celebrate its 150th Anniversary on Saturday, April 1, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Jennie Dean Park, 9501 Dean Park Lane.
There will be a ceremony at 3 p.m., games, food, a hayride, games, and fireworks at the end of the celebration. Residents who attend the event in person from 2 to 6 p.m., and bring a stamped envelope or postcard, can also get a commemorative stamp from the USPS.

It was the 25th year a St. Patrick’s Day parade had been placed in the city. Snow and the coronavirus pandemic stopped the parade for two years, said organizer Patrick Sullivan at a February 27, 2023, Manassas City Council meeting.

The Ordway Conservatory of Classical Ballet in Manassas will showcase a spring show with a cast made up entirely of children.
The show “Game On” is an interactive video game ballet. The audience will participate during the show with light-up wands they’ll use from their seats.
Customers of Stafford Utilities may soon experience some changes in their water as part of the County’s continued efforts to provide quality water.
From March 13, 2023, through the end of May 2023 at the latest, Stafford County will perform a system-wide flush to ensure a high level of disinfection of all county water mains.
Stafford County announces that all three major rating agencies, Fitch Ratings, Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s Investors Service, have affirmed Stafford’s AAA bond ratings.
Stafford remains among only 47 counties nationally and 11 counties in Virginia to achieve a triple AAA bond rating – the highest credit rating available. Fitch cited the County’s robust revenue framework and growth prospects, low long-term liability burden, and outstanding gap-closing capacity as pivotal in their decision.
