Bruce Hornsby will perform at a Gala for the Workhouse Arts Center.
Hornsby is best known for his 1986 smash “The Way It Is,” which hit number one on the Billboard charts, and “Mandolin Rain,” which reached the top five.
Lewis is an Emmy, Tony, GRAMMY, and SAG Award nominee Accompanied by a trio of musicians on the intimate Merchant Hall stage, Lewis’ performance will include stories and songs that highlight his accomplished career on stage and screen, giving Hylton Center audiences a chance to experience “just about everything a leading man with a mighty voice should be,” The New York Times worte.
In addition to a performance featuring songs from his career, Lewis will host a masterclass at the Hylton Center the following day with high school students from Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park on September 19.
The festival is an annual family-friendly community arts festival produced jointly by the Prince William County Arts Council, the County Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, and the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
The festival is free to attend and features Prince William County Arts Council members and other community performers and fine artists. There will be activities for all ages and multiple stages of performances indoors and outdoors, including:

(The Center Square) – The Virginia tourism industry performed well during the summer months despite high rates of inflation and expensive gas prices, but continued to have problems filling roles amid an industry-wide worker shortage.
Fireworks will light up the skies over Dumfries this weekend.
The town announced a fireworks show to begin Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at 8:30 p.m.
Fun Land of Fredericksburg will play host to ghosts and goblins this Halloween.
The amusement park will offer Spooky Golf during October, in addition to its regular attractions, which include the only multi-level go-kart track in Virginia, Thunder Speedway, Sky Trail, laser tag, Scrambler, and indoor roller coaster Twist and Shout.
While they always haven’t had a town hall in Occoquan, they’ve held regular town business meetings for years.
Town Mayor Earnie Porta tells us the town staff uncovered meeting minutes dating back about 90 years to the early 1930s. Porta says some meetings were held inside shops and inside people’s homes.
