Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism will partner with VA StrEATs, and Luxe, for our free, outdoor summer concert series beginning May 5, from 5 pm – 9 pm at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, 1 County Complex in Woodbridge.

This event will feature food, beer and wine, and live music throughout the summer between May and October. Mark your calendars!

The emerging artist’s reception will be held on April 20, 2023, at 6 p.m. It will be at Open Space Arts Gallery, 15000 Potomac Town Place, in Woodbridge.

The reception is to help celebrate emerging artists at the Open Space Arts business.

Cat Johnson, a Stafford tattoo model, artist, and owner of Dark Horse Tattoos, at 395 Garrisonville Road, has competed for weeks to win Inked Magazine Covergirl 2023, along with 102,000 other tattooed models scattered across the country and worldwide.

Johnson, whose stage name is Cat Irezumi, has been in first during the previous six rounds and placed second in the semifinals.

The event is being hosted by Tribute at the Glen, a senior home in Woodbridge.

The singer appeared on NBC’s “The Voice.” His song “Blank Stares,” written for his mother, Sherry Rich, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 51, and died three years later in 2019, has raised $100 million to help fight the disease.

This year’s performance is the third year the organization has staged a spring musical and the second year that the cast–more than 30– has worked to master the content of a licensed musical. As in years past, STEP VA is making necessary adaptations for the performers, each of whom has a disability, but only as those needs arise.

“I wanted to give them as close to a Broadway experience as possible,” Sarah Garner, program coordinator, explained last year when the organization was preparing for Disney’s The Lion King, Kid.
