The meeting will be held Wednesday, November 5, from 7–9 p.m. at the Pat White Center at Ben Lomond, located at 10501 Copeland Drive, Manassas. The Countywide Trails Master Plan aims to expand and connect Prince William County’s trail systems to support recreation, transportation, and community engagement.

They are perfect for walking, running, or biking,” the Fredericksburg Police Department shared. “Whether you’re heading out for exercise, commuting, or just enjoying the outdoors, a few safety tips can help make your time on the trails enjoyable and secure.”

The department encouraged residents to travel with a friend, stay alert, use well-lit paths, and wear reflective clothing.

Empowerhouse marks 35th Annual Candlelight Vigil honoring domestic violence survivors

“We were honored to take part in this vital community event,” the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office stated. “Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office is one of only three law enforcement agencies in the area with an Empowerhouse Advocate co-located within their office.”

Empowerhouse hosted its 35th Annual Candlelight Vigil on October 25, 2025, to honor and celebrate survivors of domestic violence during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The nonprofit provides free, confidential support services for survivors and their children, focusing on safety, healing, and empowerment. Empowerhouse’s 24-hour hotline is 540-373-9373.

Prince William police seek information in 2022 Woodbridge homicide

“PWCPD Violent Crimes Unit requests your assistance. If you have any information regarding Milton Humberto ESCALANTE ESCOBAR, please contact us. He was only 18 years old at the time,” Prince William County Police Department announced. “Detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau are continuing to investigate this case. The Police Department is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved in this death.”

On October 27, 2022, officers responded to the 13900 block of Richmond Highway in Woodbridge, where 18-year-old Milton Humberto Escalante Escobar was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at a local hospital. Police say an altercation occurred in a wooded area behind a business before the suspect fled in a vehicle. No arrests have been made, and the case remains under investigation.

Fredericksburg chamber to host third annual Mock Interview Day

“This impactful event connects business professionals with local high school and college students as they practice and perfect their interview skills,” the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber announced. “Your experience can make a real difference in shaping tomorrow’s leaders.”

The event is free for all student participants and part of the Chamber’s WorkForce NOW initiative, which focuses on developing partnerships that promote workforce readiness and development. Volunteers can sign up for two-hour slots or stay for the full day to conduct mock interviews, provide feedback, and support the Chamber’s scholarship fund.

Fredericksburg police report thefts, drug possession, and multiple arrests

“A person reported that their luggage rack was stolen from the top of their vehicle in the 1200 block of Gateway Boulevard,” Fredericksburg Police reported. “In separate incidents, individuals in the 1000 block of Sam Perry Boulevard and the 3100 block of Plank Road reported that their credit cards were stolen.”

Among those charged were Dominique Kane Vinson, 30, of Stafford, for failure to comply with a support obligation, and Jason Duane Brown, 38, of Stafford, and Guillermo Antonio Medrano, 44, of Fairfax, both charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.
