The 27th Annual Manassas Heritage Railway Festival returns to Manassas this weekend.
The event will occur from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Downtown Manassas. The event is a family-friendly celebration of rich railroad history and features model train displays, train memorabilia, and specialty vendors.
An employee told police that he and the driver of a car in the drive-through lane were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated. The driver brandished a firearm at the employee during the encounter before driving through the lane, police said.
At no time were shots fired during the incident. When officers arrived in the area, they located the accused inside his vehicle and took him into custody without incident.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported that a recent firearms training session was interrupted by the presence of a cow crossing into a field.
The training session was in progress at the firing range at Eskimo Hill Road when the cow wandered onto the property. The session was put on hold as members of the office’s Animal Control Unit were called in to remove the lost bovine from the field safely.
Retired FBI agents and panelists will meet for a panel discussion on the recent drug problems plaguing Prince William County.
The panel discussion will take place Thursday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 14242 Spriggs Road in Woodbridge.
