Update
The man who was burned inside an old service station when it caught fire Thursday afternoon died while be treated at an area hospital’s burn unit.
The victim has been identified as 75-year-old William John Maybin, reports Patch.com.

Md., Va. students rank in the top 3 for AP scores
WTOP.com reports Maryland students are at the top of the class when it comes to advanced placement exams. In Virginia, students rank third nationally, with 25 percent achieving the same benchmark. D.C. ranks in the bottom three, with just 6 percent of graduating students getting a 3 or better. Nationwide, 18 percent of public high school graduates achieve a 3 or better on their exams.
Without debate, concealed weapons bills pass House
WTOP.com reports Two bills that would make it easier to obtain concealed handguns permits and keep the information secret has won easy passage in the House of Delegates.

Stafford County, Va. — While the Potomac Communities saw virtually nothing in the way of snowfall today, the Virginia Department of Transportation said it will call in crews at 9 p.m. to monitor the roads in Stafford County and surrounding areas.
There remains a chance for snow between 7 and 9 p.m., but any precipitation in the area is expected to clear out, according to the National Weather Service.
Police said the victim and the suspect began chatting on the internet, and the man on February 1 drove from Palmyra – a town that sits about 20 minutes away from Charlottesville – to meet the victim in the parking lot of Forest Park High School off Spriggs Road and Va. 234 near Dumfries. Two days later, the man once again drove to the area and met the girl in a parking lot of a Holiday Inn, at 3901 Fettler Park Drive near Dumfries.
Both times the two engaged in sexual acts, according to Prince William police documents.

Richmond, Va. – Fred Elvin Yohey Jr. was a dedicated public servant to the town of Dumfries. He was on the town council from 1996 until 2004 and then served as mayor from 2006 until his death on Nov. 6.
