Man charged in sex case involving 14-year-old girl
A 14-year-old girl told police a man drove to Prince William County from a community near Charlottesville and had sexual relations with her twice.
Police said the victim and the suspect began chatting on the internet, and the man on February 1 drove from Palmyra – a town that sits about 20 minutes away from Charlottesville – to meet the victim in the parking lot of Forest Park High School off Spriggs Road and Va. 234 near Dumfries. Two days later, the man once again drove to the area and met the girl in a parking lot of a Holiday Inn, at 3901 Fettler Park Drive near Dumfries.
Both times the two engaged in sexual acts, according to Prince William police documents.
Yesterday, the man drove back to Forest Park High School expecting to meet the victim for a third encounter, but this time detectives were waiting, and they took him into custody, police documents state.
Brian Kutney, 36, of Palmyra, is charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and with two counts of using a communication device to facilitate sex acts with a minor, police documents state.
