A new Amazon Fresh location will soon open in Prince William County near Manassas.
According to information provided by Prince William County Director of Development Services Wade Hugh, the online giant will operate a 45,000 square-foot grocery store in Sudley Manor Square in a building that used to house a K-Mart store.
The new grocery store will be located at 7807 Sudley Road, next to Manassas Sky Zone Trampoline Park.
Last year, Amazon Fresh opened a 31,000 square foot location in Franconia at 7005 Manchester Boulevard, the first in Northern Virginia.
Amazon Fresh also plans to open a new location at 10360 Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax sometime in 2022.
Amazon is no stranger to brick-and-mortar grocery stores. The online retail giant bought Whole Foods in 2017. According to Slate, Amazon paid over $13 billion to acquire the organic foods grocery store, in business for over forty years.
Neither the building’s owner, Seneca Properties, nor Amazon Fresh has released an opening date for the Prince William County store.
