This Easter, a church in Dumfries will open its doors and plans to serve a banquet fit for a king.
Potomac Valley Church will host its Great Banquet from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2022. The church will grill 1,000 pounds of meat and invites the community to the table to share in fellowship.

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Police Chief Peter Newsham recognized several department members during a promotion ceremony.
Since the last promotion ceremony held in September 2021, 26 sworn and professional staff members were promoted and allowed to be recognized by department leadership, their peers, and loved ones at today’s ceremony.

The Service Authority, which provides drinking water to Prince William County and Manassas, has begun flushing their pipes.
Simultaneously, the water service temporarily changes the primary disinfectant in their water treatment process from chloramines to free chlorine. The temporary change facilitates an effective flushing program for the distribution system and is a best practice for the drinking water industry.
