This week, OmniRide buses from Prince William and Stafford counties and Manassas will serve the Pentagon only.

Once there, riders may transfer to Metro to continue to their destinations. The change is temporary, lasts only through Wednesday, and comes during Thanksgiving week.


Prince William police today report two instances of assault and battery on law enforcement officers.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Falsely Summoning Law Enforcement – On November 17 at 3:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Birchdale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate the report of a domestic-in-progress. Upon arriving at the residence, officers made contact with a 40-year- old male resident and determined there was no active domestic between the caller, identified as the accused, and the resident. While investigating the incident, officers determined a separate incident occurred earlier in the day where the accused struck the male resident. When officers attempted to take her into custody, the accused actively resisted and refused to follow officer’s commands. Officers quickly secured the accused and as they were escorting her to the police vehicle she kneed an officer. The accused was resecured, and no injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Pamela Lynn GOSS, was arrested.


Detectives have charged 24-year-old Desmond Malcolm Daniel, 24, of 2900 Shumard Oak Drive, #201, in Woodbridge, in connection to a double murder that occurred at a residence in the 17400 block of Isle Royale Terrace near Dumfries on Wednesday, November 16.

The suspect was subsequently located by Virginia State Police and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police in a parking lot at Dulles International Airport, where he was detained without incident.


Ridership on Virginia Railway Express continues to decline in the most populated jurisdictions served by the commuter rail service.

Students from Potomac High School in Woodbridge visited Emerald Ironworks on Wednesday, November 16, to get a closer look at metal fabrication.

The students are part of the Prince William County School division’s career and technical education program, which “offers a wide variety of rigorous and engaging Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs designed to improve academic and technical understanding, offer leadership opportunities and deliver instruction through realistic, hands-on applications.


On Wednesday, November 16, at 11:16 p.m., officers were called to a home 17400 block of Isle Royale Terrace in the Forest Park neighborhood off Van Buren Road near Dumfries to investigate a shooting.

Two adults, a man and woman were shot inside the basement by a man who had forced his way into the residence. A family dog, a male Pitbull mix, inside the home was also shot, police said.
