Crews arrived at the 5000 block of Cloverdale Road to find smoke showing from an apartment.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but the single apartment unit had sustained moderate damage. The Building Official declared the unit unsafe to occupy, displacing two adult occupants.

On February 13, 2023, detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau closed the investigation into the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man that occurred in the area of Sudley Manor Drive and Williamson Boulevard near Manassas on August 19, 2022.
Detectives reopened the investigation in September 2021 after additional information was obtained in the case. The initial investigation revealed on November 29, 1984, the victim, a 3-month-old boy was at home in the 9600 block of Lafayette Avenue near in Manassas, and in the care of the accused, who was then 20 years old.
At some point, the child began experiencing breathing problems. The accused took the victim to an area hospital for evaluation where the child’s condition was determined to need further care at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C.

Prince William County Coles District Supervisor Yesli Vega says she’s received letters, including one from the father of a family of 10, who goes through 20 eggs a day to feed his family, asking her if something can be done to ease the family’s egg woes.
