VPAP: Republican Bill Woolf beat his Primary Election challenger Robert Ruffolo by 40 points in Virginia Senate District 30, encompassing western Prince William County.
The district has no incumbent. He’ll face Democrat Danica Roem in the November General Election. VPAP lists the district as competitive, not leaning to one party.
R. Wendell Presgrave, the founder of MyPlumber Plus, was honored with a funeral procession from the company’s headquarters at 6897 Gateway Court, off Balls Ford near Manassas, to a memorial service in Haymarket, on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Presgrave, 83, died on May 23, 2023.
“The investigation revealed a store clerk, identified as a then-50-year-old woman, was working at the location when she went to use the restroom. An unknown man followed the victim into the restroom where she was bound and sexually assaulted at knifepoint.”
“After the incident, the suspect fled the business and was not immediately located. The case eventually was transferred to Cold Case where, in 2021, the investigation was reviewed, and new investigative leads were followed through advancements in DNA/genealogical testing and research.”

“Officers arrived on scene and located the vehicle in the nearby commuter lot where the driver, identified as the accused, was detained without incident. The investigation revealed the accused was intoxicated and operating the vehicle in a reckless manner as he fired several rounds of a shotgun from the vehicle.”
