Stafford County sheriff: “On June 2nd at approximately 8:37 p.m., deputies responded to an attempted robbery on Foxwood Drive. The victim was able to flee from the suspect during the incident. Less than 20 minutes later, deputies responded to Vista Woods Road for a successful robbery.

“Since June 2nd, both deputies and detectives have been working nonstop to identify the suspects involved as two more knife point robberies were committed, most recently on June 8th.”

Fredericksburg police: “The Fredericksburg Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting. Earlier [Sunday, June 11, 2023] at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a call about an unconscious male bleeding in the 1700 block of Lafayette Boulevard.”

“Patrol officers responded swiftly and located the male who had gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began performing lifesaving measures until EMS arrived. Shortly after, the victim was pronounced dead.”


Prince William

Prince William County fire and rescue crews were called to a townhouse fire at 3:27 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2023.

Prince William County fire marshal: “Units were dispatched to the 12000 block of Malvern Way in Bristow for a resident reporting a townhouse on fire across the street. Crews arrived with heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the address.

Brennon Christopher Craig of Woodbridge is one of 332 Mars Hill University students named on the Honor Roll of the Academic Dean at the end of the spring 2023 semester.

Ten local students recently received scholarships from the Park West Lions Club at a dinner meeting to recognize each recipient.
