Arrest made in home invasion near Dumfries
From Prince William police: Burglary While Armed – On November 3 at 2:09PM, officers responded to the Princeton Woods Apartments located in the 3400 block of Allerton Ct. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a home invasion. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 19-year-old male resident of the home, was involved in a verbal altercation earlier in the day with an acquaintance, identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile.
At 8:16 a.m., Prince William County fire and rescue crews were called to the 1400 block of Loudoun Drive in Haymarket for a house fire. Units arrived with a working fire in the attic.
The fire was quickly brought under control. The single-family dwelling did sustain moderate damage from the heat, smoke, and water.

From Prince William police: Homicide Investigation – On November 3 at 1:01AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Santander Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a stabbing. Upon arriving at the residence, officers observed a man laying on the floor suffering from stab wounds to the upper body and provided immediate first aid until rescue personnel arrived.
