A Woodbridge, Va. man faces multiple charges following a pursuit on Interstate 95 early Sunday, June 26.

At 2:56 a.m., a Virginia State Police trooper attempted to stop a Dodge Charger traveling south on I-95 near Exit 163 for Lorton. The traffic stop was for the license plate being reported stolen from Maryland.

The Fredericksburg Nationals came back in dramatic fashion to split the six-game series in Salem Sunday. The FredNats fell behind 4-0 in the first but rallied to leave with a 7-6 win.

Police say they arrested a man who secreted bodily fluid on a woman during a brazen sexual assault in a Prince William County grocery store.

On Friday, June 24, at 9:45 a.m., police were called to a Food Lion store at 6306 Hoadly Road in Dale City. A man followed an employee, a 58-year-old woman, around the store. The man had been known to visit the store and had had previous brief encounters with the female employee in the past, police said.


On June 24, the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of Graham Park Road in Triangle on June 11 is Timothy Dewaine Gunn, 54, of Dumfries.

The investigation revealed that a 2007 Toyota Camry driver was traveling westbound on Graham Park Road at 3:24 a.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossing the double yellow line and striking a tree. The car then caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.


Seven talented artists from ages 15 to 23 have been showing in the gallery at Open Space Arts since June 2. Pieces by the young artists vary from abstract to photography with bold statements being made.

At age 15, Amairra T., the youngest artist along with three others sold work, and L.A. Mejias and Kyla Ericson are in discussion for commissioned works. The old artist, Kofi Kaikari has received strong interest in his art; in particular, his work which can be seen in the gallery’s front window, “Politics of Experience.” The exhibition will be up until June 26 and also includes works from Carlos Sanchez, Isabel Kinney, and Taylor Briggs.


On Thursday, June 23, a suspect sought in connection to the road rage shooting incident on Route 1 in Woodbridge on May 6, was arrested.

On May 6 at 2:48 p.m., Prince William County police went to the area of Route 1 and Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 47- year-old man, said he was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a gray Honda Accord while driving on Dale Boulevard. approaching Neabsco Mills Road.
