A public meeting will be held Thursday, November 9, at the existing senior center, 13850 Church Hill Drive, just off Prince William Parkway, at 1 p.m. It’s one of two meetings the government has held to solicit feedback about the new center.
So far, the county has not released conceptual drawings of a new center, said where it could be built, or what amenities it would include. All of that is expected to be unveiled at a Board of County Supervisors meeting in December.

Police found a man shot outside a hotel near the Northern Virginia Community College Manassas Campus.
According to police, officers found the victim today at 4:18 a.m. at the Courtyard Marriot at 10701 Battleview Parkway near Manassas to investigate a shooting.

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors raised its Intergovernmental Support Agreement with the base to $5 million, up from $2 million, allowing the county’s department of public works to work on additional projects on the base while lessening Quantico’s reliance on the Federal Government’s procurement process.

The first is an overturned camper on Interstate 95 south, at milepost 138 in Stafford County, at about 1:30 p.m.

Shooting Investigation – On October 24 at 9:40PM, officers responded to the Potomac Inn located at 13964 Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived at the location, they observed several individuals leaving the scene. The investigation revealed shots were fired which struck several locations including two different unoccupied rooms of the hotel. A black two-door sedan with tinted windows was also seen fleeing the area. Officers located shell casings in the parking lot. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.
Christopher Shorter will come from Baltimore to lead the Prince William County Government.
In a 6-2 vote today, the Prince William Board of County Supervisors hired Shorter and agreed to pay him a $350,000 annual salary. Supervisors Jeanine Lawson and Yesli Vega opposed his hiring.
