WOODBRIDGE, Va. — After a Bank of America in Woodbridge was robbed Thursday afternoon, police quickly apprehended their suspect.
Bank employees told police a man walked into the bank at 13976 Jefferson Davis Highway at 1:36 p.m. and approached the counter, handed the teller a note demanding cash, and then implied he had a weapon but never displayed one. The teller handed over the cash and the man fled the scene, according to police documents.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Work has begun to rehabilitate a bridge on Va. 610 in North Stafford at Aquia Creek, located west of the intersection with Joshua Road.
Daytime, temporary single-lane closures will be required initially as workers replace guardrail along the bridge, and reconstruct the shoulders. Motorists should be alert for flagging crews at the bridge directing traffic.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Once a home to a furniture store and to a now demolished stand-alone restaurant, The Ground Round, the Jefferson Plaza shopping center at U.S. 1 and Mount Pleasant Drive in Woodbridge now sits empty and dilapidated. It’s an eyesore that isn’t sharing in the same growth and change taking place next door at Marumsco Plaza, where new retailers and restaurants will join Todos Supermarket.
