“I also would like to commend those Republican candidates that did not prevail, including Josh Quill and Robert Ruffolo; they demonstrated their courage and commitment to the principles of the Republican Party by undertaking all the ardors and difficulties of a political campaign.”

Prince William County’s 53rd Police Basic Recruit School graduation

Prince William Police Department: “The Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy Basic Law Enforcement 53rd Session graduated on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in a ceremony at Gainesville High School in Gainesville (20155). This class was composed of 14 Prince William County Police officers.”

“The 14 men and women completed a 24-week course of training in all aspects of police work, including classes in firearms, use-of-force decision making, driver training, legal training, patrol techniques, criminal investigation and crash investigation.”

Updated: US Navy Band at Marine Corps museum canceled

Update: “Due to inclement weather, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation has unfortunately been forced to cancel the US Navy Band performance that was scheduled for tonight, June 6. The next concert will be July 6 and feature the U.S. Army Blues.”

Stolen historical records returned to Prince William County Courthouse

Prince William County Circuit Court Clerk press release: “Two of Prince William County’s earliest records were returned to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Jacqueline Smith, after nearly 300 years.”

“Both documents were taken from the courthouse during the Civil War and returned to Virginia during the mid-20th century.”
