House on Token Valley Road burns

A house on Teken Valley Road near Dale City burned early Monday.

Stated the Prince William Fire and Rescue Department: 

On Monday, April 4th at 12:30 a.m. fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single family home located in the 7100 block of Token Valley Road in Manassas.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed an abandoned home and detached garage fully involved and commenced an interior attack. As the fire continued to blaze and extended to the woods surrounding the home, firefighters were ordered to evacuate the structure.

Additional fire equipment, two brush trucks and two pumpers were requested to help suppress and extinguish the house and brush fires. Firefighters conducted searches throughout the structure but were negative.

According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, preliminary damages are estimated at $150,000.

Building inspector has posted the home unsafe.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.

Fire crews were called back to the house about 2:30 p.m. A neghbor called 911 after fearing the fire had rekindled. 

Crews found no evidence of a new fire and left the scene.
