Prince William fire and rescue were called to a townhome on fire in Dale City.
According to Prince William fire and rescue, the townhome on Bakersfield Street, had flames coming from the front of the home.
Responders were able to put out the fire, stated Prince William fire and rescue.
The Fire Marshal’s Office stated that the resident was doing plumbing work and soldering pipes, when he went to leave for an errand. While the resident was not in the home, a neighbor stated that they heard a smoke alarm and saw smoke coming from the roof and back of the townhome, stated Prince William fire and rescue.
No one was injured, and two adults were displaced by the fire, according to Prince William fire and rescue.
The Fire Marshal’s Office stated that preliminary damages totaled $10,000.
