MyLink Summer Bus Pass gets you around town

It’s not too late to get the best bargain of the summer! Teens who buy a MyLink summer bus pass not only get unlimited local bus rides until early September, they also get discounts at select area attractions!

With a MyLink teen summer bus pass, teens ages 13-19 can travel safely around town this summer without having to ask mom and dad for a ride – or for the car keys and gas money. It’s perfect for summer jobs, meeting friends and visiting the park or library!

The pass costs $30 and is accepted through September 5, 2015 on PRTC’s local OmniLink buses offering routes in Dale City, Dumfries, Lake Ridge, Manassas, Manassas Park, Quantico and Woodbridge. The pass also is accepted on PRTC’s Cross County Connector bus, which links eastern Prince William County and the Manassas area.

As of July 6, the cost of a one-way local bus ride is $1.40, so a teen who takes at least 11 round-trip bus rides before early September will save money by using a MyLink pass.

As an added bonus, teens who show their MyLink pass also get instant discounts from these MyLink business partners:

— Potomac Nationals, Pfitzner Stadium, Woodbridge –$1 off general admission at home games;

— Prince William Ice Center, 5180 Dale Boulevard, Woodbridge –$2 off public skate entry;

— Bowl America, 13409 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge and 9000 Mathis Avenue, Manassas – five free games per day; and Stonewall Pool, 8531 Stonewall Road, Manassas – $1 off admission.

The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission, PRTC, provides transportation services in Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. OmniLink local buses serve routes in Manassas and Manassas Park on Mondays through Fridays and serve routes in Dale City, Dumfries, Lake Ridge, Quantico, the Route 1 Corridor and Woodbridge on Mondays through Saturdays.
