The Virginia Commonwealth Games were held last weekend. Although most of the events were held in Roanoke, the Manassas Boy’s and Girl’s Club was the site of the state’s fencing event.
The Mixed Foil event event was won by Prince William native Brad Jones. Jones, 20, is a coach at Ronin Fencing Foundation (RFF) which holds classes at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club in Manassas.
Two other RFF team members competed in the foil event, Chaz Battad (Ashburn) – finishing 3rd (tie) and Matt Farmer who was eliminated by his teammate Chaz.
