WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Nico Greetham made it into the top 20 dancers on TV’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”
The 18-year-old from Woodbridge is being celebrated by family and friends for his strong showing no the national dance show seen Tuesday nights on Fox.
“We were ecstatic.Tears of joy and a lot of jumping up and down! It is all so surreal,” said Nico’s mother, Isabella. “Now that he is part of top 20, we hope and pray he does the best he can every week so that he stays on the show for as long as America wants.”
She has hosted “watch” parties where family and friends gather to watch Nico perform.
“Hopefully we are transmitting all our positive energy his way,” said Isabella Greentham.
Greetham went to Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, and his mother says it’s always been his dream to be on the show.
“So You Think You Can Dance” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Channel 5.
