Who will be the first new baby born in the Potomac Communities in 2013? We simply don’t know yet.

Both hospitals in the area, Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center and Stafford Hospital Center, have are still waiting to welcome their New Year’s baby.

At Prince William Hospital in Manassas, two women are in labor but there is no baby yet, according to nurses there.

There are three people who are about to have babies at this hour at Stafford Hospital, and we’ve been instructed to check back within the hour to see who will be that hospital’s first new baby of 2013.

It’s a tradition at all area hospitals to mark the first birth of the New Year.
