A bear has been spotted wandering through neighborhoods in Centreville and visiting residents’ porches, according to WUSA9.
Police are asking people to stay away from the bear and to report any sightings to animal services.
Black bears are more active in the fall as they eat heavily to prepare for winter, and bird feeders, outdoor trash cans and pet food left outside can draw them into neighborhoods.
