A Fredericksburg man is facing a felony charge after allegedly assaulting a police officer. The 31-year-old was arrested on November 25 and charged with assault and battery on law enforcement. No further details about the incident were released.
Several others were arrested in separate incidents across the city, including three Fredericksburg residents in their 30s and 40s charged with possession of Schedule I or II controlled substances. One person was arrested for DUI, while others faced charges including disorderly conduct, assault on a family member, and attempted non-capital offense.
Theft from unlocked vehicles continues to be an issue. On November 26 and 27, two victims on Ivanhoe Court and Hickok Circle reported stolen purses and wallets. Another case of vehicle vandalism was reported on Lee Avenue.
