Early Morning Crash Closes Joshua Road

North Stafford, Va. — A man was trapped inside his car this morning after it crashed in North Stafford.

Emergency at 6:20 a.m. crews were called to Joshua Road and St. Adams Drive after a Pontiac driven by a 56-year-old man lost control of this car and collided with a Hyundai Accent driven by a 49-year-old man.

Fire and rescue crews were able to extract one man who was trapped inside his car, said Stafford fire and rescue Executive Officer Mark Doyle.

Both men were taken to Stafford Hospital Center with injuries  that did not appear to be life theatening, said Virginia State Police Sgt. Les Tyler.

The crash closed a portion of Joshua Road, however, it reopened about 8:30 a.m.
