STAFFORD – (Press Release) 3000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, 11/7, 5:16 a.m. Units responded to a reported breaking and entering in progress at an auto business. The caller was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot and observed a male subject exit the woods with a crow bar. He struck the rear glass door with it and disappeared back into the woods. He then reappeared, striking the door again—this time breaking it. The male then entered the shop for about two minutes before exiting. A K9 unit and the drone team responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the suspect. Nothing was out of place or missing from the shop. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENIES
1175 Garrisonville Road, 11/4, 3:46 p.m. Two subjects steal food and drinks from convenience store on two occasions. Upon arrival, deputies located the suspects sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. The driver was identified as Taylor Perry, 18, of Stafford and the passenger as James Foster, 18, of Stafford. They admitted to stealing the items. Deputy Smith and his K9 partner, Lobo, also responded to the scene. The K9 alerted to a backpack behind the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle and backpack revealed drug paraphernalia and a substance consistent with marijuana. Both suspects were issued summonses for possession of marijuana and petit larceny.
VANDALISM
Melbourne Drive, 11/6. Glass doors of several homes at construction site damaged and a sump pump stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
