Woman Charged with drug possession at Holiday Inn

A 44-year-old woman from Richmond was arrested at the Holiday Inn on Sanford Drive in Stafford County for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. Deputy R. A. Kehoe responded to a disturbance involving the woman, who was found sleeping in the lobby. Upon interaction, the deputy noticed her slurred speech and lethargy, leading to her arrest. A search revealed a smoking device with suspected drugs in her jacket pocket.

In other incidents, a vehicle was vandalized on Sierra Drive, and a mailbox was damaged on Tacketts Mill Road. Both incidents involved damage from blunt objects or vehicles.

Authorities urge anyone with information on these incidents to contact the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
Sierra Drive, 12/11 10:48 a.m. Deputy J. H. Helbling responded to a vandalism complaint. The victim reported that their vehicle had been hit with some type of blunt object during the overnight hours.
Tacketts Mill Road, 12/11 5:13 p.m. Deputy H. R. Perkins handled a vandalism complaint. The victim reported that her mailbox and mailbox post had been damaged after being struck by a vehicle.

NARCOTICS VIOLATION

Holiday Inn, 20 Sanford Drive, 12/11 10:27 p.m. Deputy R. A. Kehoe responded to the business for a disturbance regarding a female who had been sleeping in the lobby. Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Kehoe made contact with the female. While speaking with the female, Deputy Kehoe noticed that she had slurred speech and was extremely lethargic. Based on the female’s behavior, she was taken into custody for public intoxication. During a search incident to arrest, a smoking device containing suspected controlled substances was located in the female’s jacket pocket. The female was identified as Tina Kline, 44, of Richmond. Kline was charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. Kline was held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a secured bond.
