Woman charged with public intoxication and false identity

A woman was charged at Publix on Publix Way after claiming she was lost and providing false information to Deputy T. G. Croson. The woman, identified as Sara Sims, 45, of Stafford, was found to be wanted in Spotsylvania County for failure to appear. Sims was charged with public intoxication, destruction of property, and providing false identity to avoid arrest. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

Earlier, Deputy Suter responded to a call at Giant on Town and Country Drive, where a man was found displaying erratic behavior. The man, identified as Donald Ullery, 44, of Stafford, was charged with public intoxication.

In another incident, a larceny was reported at a 7-11 on Richmond Highway, where an unknown male stole a can of beer.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Giant, 35 Town and Country Drive, 12/4 1:00 a.m. Deputy Suter responded to this location regarding a suspicious person call. Deputy Suter made contact with the subject who was behind the business. The subject was displaying erratic behavior. While engaging with the subject, Deputy Suter noticed the subject had slurred speech and an odor of alcoholic beverages coming from his person. The subject was taken into custody and identified as Donald Ullery, 44, of Stafford. Ullery was charged with public intoxication.

Publix, 1640 Publix Way, 12/4 8:09 p.m. Deputy T. G. Croson responded to the business for a welfare check. The business had advised that there was female inside of the store claiming she was lost. Deputy Croson began speaking with the female. The female was giving vague answers to Deputy Croson’s questions. While Deputy Croson was speaking with the female, she picked up a pack of candles that was merchandise of the store and began to open them. The female provided a name and date of birth that was determined to be false through further investigation. The female’s identity was confirmed to be Sara Sims, 45, of Stafford. Sims was wanted through Spotsylvania County for failure to appear. Sims was arrested and charged with public intoxication, destruction of property, providing false identity to avoid arrest, and providing false identity to law enforcement. Sims was also served on her outstanding warrant from Spotsylvania. Sims was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

LARCENY
7-11, 3623 Richmond Highway, 12/4 6:38 p.m. Deputy K. F. Shifflett responded to the business for a past occurred larceny. An unknown male subject stole a can of beer from the store.
