Virginia’s first Success Space is opening at Spotsylvania Towne Centre. It will offer a fresh take on co-working that combines a professional workspace, on-site business coaching, and a cozy public café.
The new 5,300-square-foot facility is co-owned by Dr. Fallon Hutcherson and Felicia Minor-Caliste, two federal government contractors-turned-entrepreneurs who wanted to create a community-focused place for professionals to thrive.
“We were tired of looking at the same four walls,” said Hutcherson, reflecting on their work-from-home experience during the pandemic. “We wanted something that inspired people to do their best work, and Success Space offered that with its combination of co-working, coaching, and café elements.”
This location joins a growing network of Success Space franchises in Texas, New York, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana. The Fredericksburg location is the brand’s first in Virginia.
The idea was sparked after Hutcherson visited a co-working space in Texas that integrated shopping and workspace. She and Minor-Caliste sought something more dynamic than traditional office rentals and found that Success Space offered just that.
The new space includes a variety of private offices, open lounge areas, and conference rooms. One of its most unique features is a café open to the public, designed to attract mall-goers and nearby apartment residents. With visibility between the café and co-working space, Hutcherson says the layout will “sell itself.”
“We love the idea that people can walk over from their homes to grab a coffee, meet a coach, or get some work done in a cozy, community-driven environment,” said Minor-Caliste. “It’s all about accessibility and connection.”
The facility offers an app that allows users to check availability, book rooms, unlock doors, and extend sessions—all from their phones. A concierge will also be available on-site for those who prefer in-person help.
To build momentum, the Success Space team has already lined up a networking event for local real estate agents and plans to host regular events to drive community engagement.
“We’re not just renting space,” said Hutcherson. “We’re building a culture of support, learning, and empowerment.”
The new coworking space is slated to open by midweek next week.
