Tommy’s Express Car Wash will soon open at 9850 Liberia Avenue in Manassas, next to TD Bank.
A city press release states:
Tommy’s Express is currently constructing a 5,000 square foot, state-of-the-art car wash facility at 9850 Liberia Avenue. The new build is part of a larger national expansion for the Tommy’s Express brand that first started in Holland, Michigan, and is making Manassas the first of 20 coming soon to the metro DC area.
The new building, an expected investment of around $6 million, will feature the signature ‘Totally Tommy’ design with dual towers, multiple pay lanes, curved rooflines, and stainless-steel arches. The car wash will also deploy the most cutting-edge phone app technology in the industry as well as license plate reading technology not seen anywhere else in the region.
Olympus Pines, a locally owned company, and one of the largest operators of Tommy’s Express car washes in the U.S., will own and operate the Manassas location. “As a veteran-owned company that offers all employees ownership in our locations, we are very excited to serve the City of Manassas,” says Trevor Sperry, co-founder and CEO of Olympus Pines. “In looking at potential locations in the DMV, the City of Manassas really stuck out as a strong, business-friendly community. We look forward to contributing to an already bustling, visible commercial corridor with a lot of growth in the surrounding area.”
Construction on Tommy’s Express began in December and the business is set to open its doors this summer. The new facility is expected to generate more than 15 high-paying jobs when the company begins its hiring ramp up in May.
