Prince William County will host a veterans job fair as part of its efforts to put more people to work.
The county’s Department of Economic Development will host the fair at the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, 1775 Semper Fidelis Way in Quantico. The fair supports veterans, military spouses, and transitioning service members looking to advance their careers.
Employers like Amazon, the National Institutes of Health, the FBI, BAE, and others will attend the event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, November 3. Those interested in attending may register online.
Through its ELEVATE program, Prince William County committed American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to provide training programs, support services, and career assistance so residents can get and keep today’s in-demand jobs.
The ELEVATE program runs through October 2024 to offer job seekers free training and certifications from a network of education partners. In addition, the program will offer a job portal for employers and low-cost solutions to train current employees to meet competitive market standards.
