Sheetz to open new store Thursday in Stafford

The newest Sheetz gas station will open in Stafford County.

The new store will open on Thursday, April 7 at 8 a.m. Grand opening festivities will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 11 a.m. Ryan Sheetz, vice-president of company marketing, will cut a ribbon to open the store at 10:45 a.m.

“Sheetz is one of America’s fastest-growing family-owned and operated convenience stores,” said Darrell English, Hartwood District Supervisor. “Bringing Sheetz to Burns Corner is an economic and community achievement, and our county, courthouse, public safety and hospital employees could not be more excited for this store to open.”

The store sits at Hospital Center Boulevard and Wyche Road, where Courthouse Road crosses Interstate 95.

Like its other stores in the area, the new location will offer MTO (made-to-order) food menu and Sheetz Bros. Coffeez Espresso Bar, featuring lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, and frozen fruit smoothies. The kitchen will make cold and toasted sandwiches, hamburgers, breakfast sandwiches, salads, and french fries.

Once the doors to the establishment are unlocked, they will never close again as the gas station will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sheetz will donate $2,500 to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank, which helps to provide food to over 31,000 people through its network of 152 community partners operating more than 260 food assistance programs.

A second donation of $2,500 will also be presented to the Special Olympics of Virginia. A supporter of the Special Olympics for over 30 years, Sheetz also extends its support to the organization through product donations and event volunteers.

The Sheetz on Wyche Road will be the third of its kind in Stafford County. The chain has other Garrisonville Road locations in North Stafford and Route 3 in Ferry Farm.
