Victim hit with lamp, strangled with electric cord

a 16-year-old girl was strangled with an electric cord, police said. 

The accused is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, strangulation, and domestic assault and battery.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Strangulation – On January 27 at 1:56AM, officers responded a residence located in the 11200 block of Golden Leaf Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 16 year old female juvenile of Annandale, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a physical altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face with a lamp then strangled her with an electric cord. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused who left the residence when police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused who was located and arrested without incident later that morning.
