18-year-old charged after armed robbery

Police said two armed men walked into a Montclair home wearing ski masks and robbed those inside.

Here is more in a press release:

Armed Robbery– On January 5 at 1:16AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15900 block of Dolphin Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery. The caller reported to police that two men wearing masks entered a rear door of the residence. Once inside, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property from six occupants of the residence. As the suspects fled out the rear door, one of the victims, a 22 year old man of Dumfries, followed and confronted one of the suspects.

During the encounter, a struggle ensued and the victim sustained a laceration to his leg before the suspect fled on foot. A short time later, officers were called to an address in the 17500 block of Victoria Falls Dr in Dumfries for another man with a laceration to his leg. The man was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Detectives from the Robbery Unit quickly determined the man was one of the suspects involved and detained him without incident. Minor injuries were reported by the victim and no property was reported missing. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.
