Police said the victim was a 59-year-old man who was in the process of cutting down a tree which then fell onto him and killed him.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — One person is dead after a tree fell in Prince William County on Monday.
Prince William police confirmed one fatal victim in the incident that occurred on Bacon Race Road just off Davis Ford Road about 11:30 a.m.
Details are few right now as police are still working on the investigation. Police described the case as an unfortunate accident.
When the call went out on Monday, initial reports indicated the tree had fallen on a man who was working in the area.
