Racial Slurs Painted on Church

STAFFORD, Va. — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in helping to identify the subject or subjects responsible for spray painting offensive racial slurs on the back of a Stafford church.

On Sunday, March 4, 2012 Stafford deputies responded to Bethel Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church at 135 Chapel Green Road in [south] Stafford for a call of vandalism. Deputies spoke to the Pastor of the church who directed the deputies to the back of the church where they found an offensive racial slur spray painted on the back wall of the church. Indications are that this crime was committed sometime between 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

“We have absolutely no tolerance for this type of mean spirited crime,” stated Sheriff Charles Jett. “We are aggressively investigating this incident to determine who may be responsible.”
