Stafford, Va. — Stafford County residents should soon be notified of the value of their properties.
Fredericksburg.com reports the county mailed out property reassessments to residents Thursday. But county officials want you to know you can turn to the county website if you have questions about the reassessed value of properties in Stafford.
Citizens who have questions about their 2012 reassessment notices can visit the Stafford County website at staffordcountyva.gov for helpful information.
The Commissioner of the Revenue’s section of the site has several new tools to help citizens better understand the reassessment process. In addition to frequently asked questions (FAQs), there is a comprehensive explanation of the appeals process. There is also a link to a video of Commissioner of the Revenue Scott Mayausky’s 2012 General Reassessment presentation to the Board of Supervisors in January 2012.
