Metro has announced track work that will close the Franconia-Springfield Metro station this weekend.
The work is being done beginning at 8 p.m. Friday and will continue until the evening of Sept. 5.
Metro will provide shuttle buses between Springfield and the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station in Alexandria, where all Blue line trains will terminate, according to Metro.

Also as part of the track work, trains on Metro’s Orange line in Virginia will also be affected.
