Transit improvements that were once part of a plan to convert High Occupancy Vehicle lanes to toll lanes are no more.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has scrapped plans to include $100 million in transit improvements as part of the I-95 HOV/HOT project, reports the Washington Examiner.

The move comes after state officials in February scrapped plans for toll lanes on I-395 on between the Capital Beltway and the 14th Street Bridge. Instead, officials said they would convert HOV lanes to toll lanes between Dumfries and Edsall Road in Alexandria and extend them to North Stafford.
