Woodbridge, Va. –– A new documentary film that will be shown tonight in Woodbridge aims to show residents how to respond to demands from police.

The docudrama “10 Rules for Dealing with Police” will be screened at Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus.

The film was produced by Washington non-profit Flex Your Rights, and aims to better help residents understand their constitutional rights, according to information posted to the web by the college.

The film features William “Billy” Murphy, Jr., a real-life trial lawyer who was featured in HBOs “The Wire.”

“…10 Rules depicts innocent people dealing with heavy-handed policing tactics used every day in the United States,” according to website used to sell the video.

The showing takes place at 6 p.m. inside the theatre room at the campus.

The makers of the film urge students on college campuses to host screenings of the film.

After the screening, film makers urge those who organized the screening to both a lawyer and police officer on hand to field any questions from the audience that may arise.

There is no word on whether a lawyer or police officer will be present at the screening.
