North Stafford, Va. – Cell phones and credit cards were stolen from gym lockers at a North Stafford health club.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to Sport and Health Club at 315 Garrisonville Road on Friday, where they found that the items had been stolen from lockers that had been left unlocked, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

The thefts happened between 5:30 and 7:45 p.m., and the stolen credit cards were used immediately.
Investigators obtained surveillance video from a Giant grocery store across from the gym, where the credit cards were swiped, which they used to construct a clearer picture of who might have taken the items.
Authorities believe a male and a female worked together in the larcenies.
The female is described as black, wearing a pink shirt and dark-colored pants.
The male, said to be younger, was also said to be black, wearing a black sleeveless shirt, a white t-shirt draped around his neck and camouflage shorts, said Kennedy.
The sheriffs’ office reported the thefts for the first time today.
