WOODBRIDGE — For those who love Panera Bread but are too busy to step inside to grab their sandwich, life just got a lot easier.

On September 11, the Board of County Supervisors held a public hearing about a new drive-through Panera slated to be built on Prince William Parkway at the intersection with Caton Hill Road in the existing Parkway Crossing West shopping center parking lot.

OCCOQUAN Bann Thai Old Town opened its doors on September 9 in the Occoquan. This new Thai restaurant offers dine-in, carry-out, catering, and delivery for a five-mile radius from the restaurant.

This is owner Nalinrat Pienthumdee’s first restaurant. She partnered with a very experienced chef to bring authentic Thai food to Northern Virginia. Chef Tang has over ten years of experience as a chef.

Known as Patriot Day, this year marks the 17th anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. We remember the service and sacrifice of the brave men and women from numerous Fire, Police and First Responder Departments, and we dedicate this day to their memory.  We thank them for their continued dedication and loyalty.

GAINESVILLE — There’s a new Hibachi restaurant opening this month at Gateway Promenade.

A new location of Passion Fin is slated to open at Gateway Promenade in Gainesville at 7320 Atlas Walk Way. While this restaurant’s main attraction is sushi and hibachi, but they will also offer Thai and Chinese food. They will serve beer, wine, sake and an assortment of soft drinks.

MANASSAS — A new Mediterranean restaurant called Strofi is coming to Manassas. It will open in the Shops at Signal Hill on Liberia Avenue, across from Aldi.

Strofi owners Lidiia and Benan Aksoylu are a married couple with a desire to bring authentic Mediterranean food to Manassas. Benan is Turkish and explained that gyro, while typically seen in Greek restaurants here in the U.S., has its roots in a popular Turkish street food known as döner. He and Lidiia want to bring that same authentic dish to Manassas.
