Riding the E-ZPass Express Lanes will cost you as the grace period ends.

The Virginia Department of Transportation and I-66 Express Mobility Partners (EMP), builders of the I-66 E-ZPass Express Lanes, will institute the tolling and HOV rules as planned on Saturday, Sept. 24, on the recently opened western section of 66 Express Lanes.

Lynn Forkell Greene is seeking her first full term on the Manassas City Council.

Last fall, she beat David Farajollahi in an election to a seat on the Council to complete the final year of Michele Davis Younger’s term. Davis Younger was elected mayor and took the job in January 2021.

(Prince William Times / Metered Paywall) — Prince William County’s draft plan for the Prince William Digital Gateway envisions a 2,100-acre data center corridor next to the Manassas National Battlefield Park and Conway Memorial State Forest that would allow up to 27.6 million square feet of data center space – likely spread across dozens of buildings – while also dedicating about 800 acres to new parks and trails, protecting historic assets and mitigating harmful impacts on wildlife and the Occoquan Reservoir.

Prior to midnight Monday, September 19 comment deadline, twelve non-profit organizations submitted a joint letter urging the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority to reject its proposed $76 Billion TransAction 2045 long-range transportation plan.

In our view, TransAction is unaffordable and ineffective and takes the region in the wrong direction. It represents a stapling together of local wishlists and not the results of a bottom-up alternatives analysis.

On Tuesday, the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) is joining the Prince William County Department of Transportation to celebrate the start of construction on the Prince William Parkway and University Boulevard Intersection Improvements Project.

The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission will fund the regionally significant project with a total investment of nearly $24 million.
