Driver showed deputy walker ID, not license, say authorities
Sheriff’s authorities stopped a vehicle near Walmart on U.S. 17 in south Stafford after it appeared to have no recognizable license plates.
A sheriff’s deputy stopped the vehicle at 7:55 p.m. as it was traveling south along the highway. The vehicle appeared to have two separate license plates, the numbers on them faded or vague, with no visible state identification, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
